        What an amazing day for Jessi.  She had two great stories, one in the Reno Gazette Journal and the other in the Sparks Tribune.  Both articles were great with pictures of Jessi and her paintings that she is donating to the Lili Claire Foundation in the Re
nown Hospital in town.  Lili Claire helps families with special needs children get information and help with diagnosing and finding therapists in the area.  News 4 is also going to have a piece on her during the 5 o'clock news 9/23/08.  It has been a blast watching Jessi grow the past few months.  More words, more understanding and growth has been a great blessing. 

    Thank you to all of her therapists that have helped, loved and taught her many things!
    The grand opening of the Lili Claire foundation is tomorrow and Jessi is the featured artist!  Many people have called and written so many neat things about Jessi.  Thanks to all of you.

    Jessi amazes me daily.  It's sunday 2/17/2008.  Laura, Jessi and I just got through trying to figure out how many words she recognizes when we write it down for her.  Looks like there is at least 50.  This is so amazing to us given that at Christmas we had no signs of her recognizing words.  Her language has really picked up also.  Sometimes she has to search for the sounds in her head but finds them.... her smile when she finds the sounds she's looking for is amazing.  

    Jessi has always been an amazing little girl.  Her spirit and soul has touched many people and reminds me daily that no matter what life has given us, we can always choose to be happy.  

    I love her with all my heart and am enjoying the process of watching her grow up and learn new things.
